Welcome to Machakos Teachers College (MATECO) which is a Primary and Early Childhood Teacher Training College. Upon successful completion of the three year course, a Diploma in Teacher education is Awarded. Our focus is on teaching as a profession.

The college has a responsibility to the nation to produce the most enlightened, creative and morally upright teacher who will articulate in all matters of National Development. Our aim is to produce a teacher who views teaching as a vocation rather than an occupation.
